Biography:
Meryl Cassie was born in South Africa where she lived with her mother Barbara Cassie, brother Miquelle Cassie, sister Megan Alatini (ex - Truebliss band member) and other sister Monique Cassie. The family emmigrated to New Zealand in 1987.
Meryls acting career started at the age of 11 but she landed her staring role as Ebony on The Tribe at the age of 14 in 1999. Meryl has had acting experiences in Xena, Hercules and Shortland street.
At the start of series 4 of The Tribe Meryl started to work closly with her two sisters as Megan got the part of Java and Monique got the part as Siva Ebonys sisters from the past!
Meryl is a talented singer and features alot on The Tribe album 'Abe Messiah' and Meryl sings the song at the beginning of TheTribe 'The Dream must stay Alive' as well as that Meryl sings the song 'Tribe Spirit' at the end of The Tribe with her two sisters which does sound really good.

Megan Alatini was born in George in south Africa and immigrated to New Zealand with her mother Barbara Cassie her brother Miquelle Cassie and two siters Meryl and Monique Cassie in 1987.Megan is married to the New Zealand rugby player Pita Alatini and they have a 6 years old daughter called Tonica and Megan used to be in the kiwi girlband Truebliss.Megan is also an auntie because Monique has a son called Quelan.
Megan has had some acting experiences and know has a role in The Tribe as Java. Whats cool is that Java has two sisters Siva and Ebony and Java hates Ebony and used to get on with Siva, guess what! Megans real sister Meryl plays Ebony and her real sister Monique plays Siva!!!
Megan, Meryl and Monique sing the song 'Tribe Spirit' at the end of The Tribe, they give an African feel to the song. She is a very talented actress and singer!!!!
